The Yesterdays' Top Ten.

1. Confederate Fried Steak – They call this Chicken Fried Steak in Texas; we just call it delicious. We take tender choice cube steak, batter it in our own special blend of flour and spices, and deep fry it to seal in the juices. Then we top it all off with a generous helping of our very own homemade white gravy. Served with your choice of two veggies.

2. Roberto’s Meat Loaf  - It’s the same recipe our regulars have come to love for the past 30 years. Made from scratch in our kitchen (most of the time by Roberto – it’s his recipe), you’ll get a generous half pound slice of this American favorite, topped with brown gravy so good it’ll make your mouth water. Served with your choice of two veggies.

3. Arkansas Traveler – Tender sliced roast beef served over our made from scratch cornbread, topped with black-eyed peas and brown gravy. We serve it with your choice of two veggies.

4. Southern Fried Chicken – There are two things that make our Southern Fried Chicken special. First, we use only the freshest, meatiest, boneless chicken breast. Second, we batter it in a unique blend of flour and spices (we’ve perfected the recipe for 30 years!) We deep fry it then top it with our homemade white gravy. You won’t find our version of Southern Fried Chicken served anywhere else. Comes with your choice two veggies.

5. Burger – Sometimes, you just gotta have a burger. And you’re gonna get a good one at Yesterdays. Choose hamburger, cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger, mushroom cheeseburger, veggie burger or The Big One: a half pound 100% Choice Angus Ground beef. Served with fries and a pickle spear, plus your choice of toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, a side of mayo) served on a soft Kaiser roll. Comes with big ol’ fat fries.

6. Wings – There are wings. And then there are OUR wings, with our Yesterdays blend of flavors. Choose sweet ‘n sour, hot ‘n spicy, Jack Daniel’s Bar-B-Q, or teriyaki—all served with crisp celery & blue cheese dressing. Orders may be split into any two flavors.

7. Lowcountry Shrimp & Grits – We never tasted grits as creamy as Granny Barnes’. So it’s her recipe we use in our famous Lowcountry Shrimp & Grits. Needless to say, we slow cook ‘em and top with sautéed shrimp, spiced just right. We serve it with corn bread and your choice of one veggie—may we suggest the fresh collard greens? Um mum.

8. Veggie Plate – Of course you know we’re known ‘round here for our fresh veggies, so what could be better than a veggie plate? Select three or four of our fresh “veggies of the day,” which means they’re not coming from a four-pound can. We’ll also give you a fresh baked muffin.

9. Sirloin Steak – When you’re ordering steak, it’s all about the quality of the beef. Our sirloin is USDA Choice, and we’ll give you a big 9-oz portion, cooked to order. WE serve it up with a baked potato and a tossed salad. (Please don’t ask us for well done. It breaks our heart to char-broil this tender beef.)

10. El Nacho Man – Nobody does nachos like we do. We start with crispy corn chips and top ‘em with a mound of good stuff. Choose vegetarian black bean chili, beef ‘n beans, or shredded spicy chicken. Then pile on Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, black olives, scallions, lettuce and tomatoes. On the side we’ll give you Jalapeños, salsa, sour cream & guacamole.
